hey everyone!

wow.

Summer of 2005.

This summer has gone by incredibly fast, too fast definitely.....like all summers actually...haha...
anyways...school starts on the 31st and thinking about all that lovely fall of senior year crap totally blows...so....
let's recap the fun and exciting summer adventures!! soo much to talk about! but in shortest of shortness....

Scandanavia:
family vacation~cultural experience~beautiful landscapes....breathtaking...wow....~lots and lots of herring~24/7 with a bus load of cool old asian people~wicked cool furniture~freaking expensive everything...can we say $10 for a big Mac??~waking up because its bright out and realizing its only 2 AM~nighttime strolling with the sun still up~club 7~playing cards as a family at night~strawberries like no other~"Look! A waterfall!"~"Look! A fountain!"~beautiful scandanavians galore...tall, blonde, blue-eyed, beautiful faces~hot dogs like no other!!~bathroom breaks galore.........whew....tons more but this is already getting wayyy too long....

anyways...lol...quick picture preview...

joyce, me, and hans christensen

my mum and dad at the dock in copenhagen, denmark

a ski jump boys and girls, a ginormous break all your limbs and die painfully ski jump...

wow.

...pretteeeee......

[alright, click on the link for the rest of the pictures from scandanvia...use my email and the password is...my other name....10 letters long....i dont like it when peopple call me that...haha...can you guess it? i just dont want random people getting access to my account...there must be a better way to do this...any suggestions??haha...doH!]
Scandanavia Pics

Work:
Wow....i was soo lucky to get this job...i worked for this really cool guy in the lab one floor up from my mom. its in this really cool new research building across from Children's Hospital and its such a weird-in-a-good-way feeling to walk down the street with my ID around my neck with all these other scientists in labcoats and doctors and surgeons in scrubs with IDs too and contracting the starbucks addiction and showing the security guards ID to pass and the novelty has yet to wear off....haha....and thats not even the best part! i get to do all this cool lab work with these other student interns from Harvard (a bit intimidating at first but they're all really awesome people) and work with DNA and mice and cells and use expensive lab equipment and wow! its hard work and very tiring but so worth it! and im getting paid....which is such a nice unexpected bonus...getting my first paycheck? wicked cool!! and all the people in this boston area are just so nice and congenial...like the security guards and janitors and secretaries and just everybody! =) sigh....what an amazing experience....
[pics later]

NECYSC:
what an experience too! tons of fun spending time with all these wonderful people, many that i only see once a year...and then having the awesomest group ever!! BESTEST counselor ("JODAN!!!") and BESTEST fellow CIT (FREDDD!!!!) and the BESTEST kidsss!!! i had the best kids ever! it was my first time spending so much time with kids, i mean constant attention and being with them all the time and having so much funn with them all!!...and its just such a nice environment...camp was so awesome..especially for the campers i think...and its so rewarding to know that the amazing camp experiences that i had as kid can be passed on!! partially by me and all my friends! sigh...I am definitely sending my kids to NECYSC....haha...I LOVE ALL OF YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!

grace, stephanie, lynn, and chris!!!!!!!!!!!

group 6 staff...i love you guys.....can you see the love? lol...

YAHHH!!! GO GROUP 6!!! hang timee!!!

jeremy says   "RAAWWGGHHH!!!!!!!"

thanks jordan for all these awesome pictures! i still cant believe i forgot to bring a camera!!! but thank YOU!!!! this makes my life complete...lol....

Jordan's album:

Hidden Valley Camp: wow...it went by so fast...lol....it was so great to spend some outdoor quality time with friends!! victoria, michelle, nicole, and richard....ok..fine...and joyce.....lolol....it was so much fun all lying in that huge dance studio under our blankets or cracking sunflower seeds for 2 hours or trying to tune auntie out in the morning or even wrapping string for class tomorrow which we never used....haha.....and then more kids!!! wow...i never used to like kids this much...haha....it was hard, yes...but teaching all those classes (arts and crafts, cooking, and yo-yo) to the kids is very self-satisfying, especially when you know that you're helping these adopted children learn about their culture and to love and embrace their heritage. and the funny thing is...i think the part that made me feel the best was teaching the caucasian parents (mahjong, music demonstration)...because they truly  enjoyed it and learned from it...and told us how much they've learned and enjoyed......and it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside....lolol.... =)

[pics later]

alright...i think that sums it up pretty much....and wowww.....this is officially my LONGEST POST EVER!!!! haha...i hope it doesnt take too long to load or anything....lol

im actually going to add pictures from work and from hidden valley camp later hopefully...haha....WOW...definitely longest post in the history of xanga... =D

lots more exciting stuff coming up definitely.....but for now...byebye!!!

no way, alice....there's no way...

YES FREAKING WAYYY!!!!!! IT'S OVEEEERRRRRRRR..........

holy. crap. i can breathe again. yeah, yeah...even though everything might have had or will have bad results later on....its over. i cant do anything about it, time to move on.

and i feel so much more..............so much like i can look at the glass (of soymilk ) and just drink it....who cares if it's half empty of half full.....who cares?? i don't need to worry how i look at it, try to look at it one way or the other. there's another carton of SILK SOY in the fridge...and kids need their calcium and isoflavones these days...haha

and i guess you could say that's looking at it "half full".....but i dont freaking care what i just wrote and if it doesn't make any sense at all....it was my sad attempt at expressing the weird feelings and disconnected alice thoughts in my head right now and im just rambling right now...lolol...

sigh.

still some ends to wrap up and stress over later...but any kind of closure is nice i must say...congratualtions to everyone who worked their asses off these past few weeks...eat some ice cream to reward yourself...i myself now have time to indulge in a little something.....possibly the leftover greentea ice cream from chefsun!!! yess!

anyways...yeah...today was a nice taste of freedom...after the ap chem test we drove out to panera to connect with the rebel side in us, a nice change for us overachieving geeks (and becca, lol). french onion soup....yummm...

teeheehee...who got their license in the mail today?? not that its any different from the sad piece of paper that was my permit, but it looks so official!! woohooo....lol...

alright...time to go make dinner...im starving....though the gummi worms are doing their fair share. good bye world...time for me to flow....go with the flow....ride the wave that is life....yes, alice...be like water..flow....

ahaha.....nvm...

alice

p.s. victoria...the peacock calendar page was hilarious....haha.....thank you. *muah*

it's SPRRIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!

i decided to have a little makeover/spring cleaning session for the occasion. like it??

yes, spring started back in march, but today was such a beautiful day and i finally felt like it actually was! i broke out those flip flops this afternoon and ran a little in the grass when we took down our christmas lights (haha...)and it felt sooo good.

too bad tomorrow is gonna be kind of chilly. first tennis match of the season! im kinda nervous, but its exciting anyways. soon we can flaunt those hot tennis dresses! woohooo! haha..right. good luck arhs tennis!

AIIIIDDAA! congratulations mike, grant, janice, chao, nancy, and everyone else for yet another great school musical! even though i went the day it supposedly was the worst, i still thought it was amazing! and my parents liked it too, which is a big deal! so pat on the back to you all! it was AWESOME.

AHHHHHHH.....like chao said..."ONE DAY MOOORRREE!!!" one day more until march SAT scores come out...gahh...this could make or break my life...haha...so much is riding on this...especially with that term 3 report card that i have yet to uncrumple and reveal to parents... I'm hoping for the best though, and fearing the worst. So..eek...let's wait and see.

ahh...May is testing season! can't wait for that. luckily i've stocked up on lots of tea and chocolate, so i can curl up in my blankies, with a steaming mug, on the comfy couch, and study in front of the fireplace. haha...or i can study in a hard chair and fall asleep at my desk and drool over my notebook to have all the ink dissol-i mean...haha...too much said.

ahh...(lots of "ahhhs" today) i guess May is really everything season. AP testing, SAT2s, seniors leaving (we're gonna have such a blast in APchem!!), prom, relay for life, marlboro library performance, dulcimer recital, Worcester competition, senior recitals (yay katie and jason!!), tennis districts, and lots more im sure! phew...this is gonna be interesting...

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE on college acceptances!! YAYY KATIE!!!! and everyone else!!! haha...you guys all deserve it so much! i'm so proud!!

alright...i really need to finish my work. i have "many balls to juggle" says my dad today in the car. i need to "maximize efficiency" and "be my own boss." haha...that's why i just spent 30 minutes on xanga...(thanks janice ) ok, here we go spring of 2005!
